Since joining ICF, a 7,500+ person global consultancy and digital services company, in 2016, Maurer transformed ICF’s marketing functions from an adjunct component of its growth strategy to an essential partner to leadership in delivering ICF’s expansion and diversification strategy.
Maurer’s major achievements include evolving ICF’s 50-year-old brand, incorporating more digital and forward-thinking tools to meet marketing and business goals and leveraging ICF’s employees to become brand ambassadors. Since 2018, Maurer’s leadership has contributed to YoY increases of 50% in annual web visits, 170% in database growth, 92% in engagement and 394% in marketing-influenced pipeline.
Maurer also led the launch of the ICF Climate Center, a digital thought leadership hub designed to underscore the company’s market leadership, help organizations better understand the impacts of climate change, establish clear and practical pathways forward and promote the right actions at the appropriate time to enable strategic planning, operations and investments for the future.
Maurer led the development of the ICF Climate Center brand, positioning and go-to-market strategy that highlights the company’s combination of science and technical expertise across a range of sectors and geographies. He and his team also organized and designed an extensive internal audit to identify and crystallize ICF’s key differentiators in the climate consultancy space and unique perspectives across the industry.
Today, the ICF Climate Center regularly offers insights and research powered by the work of the company’s 2,000 climate, energy and environment experts.
