The Syllabus:

Unity is the world’s leading platform for creating and operating interactive, real-time 3D content. The company launched its “More Than an Engine” campaign to promote awareness of Unity’s broad ecosystem of products to a community that’s already familiar with its core values. It’s designed to communicate Unity’s ability to support creators throughout their entire game development lifecycle.

Lesson Plan:

To illustrate this idea, the campaign uses the metaphor of a Rube Goldberg machine – a series of contraptions that trigger a chain reaction to achieve a goal – as a playful way to show how Unity products offer studios solutions as new needs arise. Five game development moments are activated by the machine, each linked to a “more” tagline that highlights how Unity products benefit creators by adding more momentum, creativity, connection, engagement and pathways to success. This new “More Momentum” page highlights how Unity DevOps solutions give studios more momentum by helping them create games more efficiently. A soaring paper plane provides a dynamic visualization for visitors as they explore these solutions.

  • 18% click through rate on product pages
  • 8,000 target accounts reached through paid promotion
  • More than 1,300 target accounts to visit the website
  • 13% conversion rate executed
